06-03-2026 - 5:30 AM - Good Morning! It’s Wednesday, and at 5:30 AM the CB Radio band is already alive with strong signals scattered across the dial. I didn’t even turn on the Yaesu 857D “HF” radio yesterday, so I’ll catch up on that later this morning. We have a slight chance of rain today (20%) and tonight (30%). I am not enthusiastic. My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.

--- 11:30 AM - A note from Medicare - Someone you don't know calls, emails, or texts you offering free medical equipment or services. What should you do? Hang up. Delete it. Only you and your doctor should decide what care and services are right for you. Scammers want your Medicare information so they can bill Medicare for services you don't need — like hospice (end-of-life care), home health care, or durable medical equipment (like a brace or cane). Hospice scams are particularly harmful. If a scammer signs you up for hospice care without your knowledge, you could lose access to your regular Medicare benefits. Never give out your Medicare Number and don't sign anything for free services — it's a scam. If you think you may have experienced fraud, call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227)

--- 3:00 PM - I stopped by Spec's today and picked up a few cigars. Then, it was on to Natural Grocers. There's a conflict there, but I don't care.

--- 7:40 PM - Not long after Kwik Trip opened its doors, someone griped at the mayor for putting it in what they thought was a bad location. I was not aware that the mayor "put" private businesses anywhere.

8:00 PM - On Texoma’s Home Page (KFDX), there is a report that the City plans to upgrade the emergency siren system, which is getting quite old and beginning to show its age. That’s my description, by the way. Also, a man was found dead in Lake Buffalo near Iowa Park. The body was sent to Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas for an autopsy.
