04-14-2026 - 5:30 AM - Good Morning! It’s Tuesday, and I’m undecided about whether to do more painting today or let the rain pass and resume on Thursday. It’s an outside job, although the rain won’t directly hit the surface I’m painting. I could use a day off. Right now, my Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.

--- 12:20 PM - The Wichita Falls area Skywarn® storm spotters issued an update on the 146.940 MHz repeater. The phrase that caught my attention was “softball-sized hail.” I’m not sure whether they meant our specific area or a broader area. Other than that, spotters were advised to have their vehicles topped off with gas and to have sufficient snacks, etc., in case of a possible activation later. Stay tuned to the "boots on the ground" or maybe "tires on the road" action live on your scanner radio.
--- 3:42 PM - The Wichita Falls area Skywarn® storm spotter net has been activated, and spotters have been dispersed to various locations. UPDATE: The spotters were recalled after a short time as the threat diminished.
--- 7:15 PM - The Wichita Falls area Skywarn® storm spotter net has been activated again for a storm passing over the Iowa Park and Electra area. Spotters were dispatched.
