I might go to Sikes Senter Mall to obtain a small gift item that my wife has been talking about. That noise on the 20 (14 MHz) and 40 meter (7 MHz) is still there. My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready!

How I Discovered Amateur (ham) Radio in Wichita Falls

12-15-2024 - The Wichita Amateur Radio Society holds a weekly informal net on Sundays at 8:00 PM on the club's 147.140 MHz repeater. As far as I know, all licensed Amateur (ham) Radio operators are invited to check in. Of course, scanner radio enthusiasts can also tune in.

12-15-2024 - The Signal - It was just 10 days before Christmas 2024 when I noticed a strong tone on 14.040 MHz. My first thought was that someone was jamming the frequency. Spinning the dial, I found the tone on 14.080, 14.120, 14.160, and 14.200 MHz. I also found it on 7.040 and 7.080 MHz. The regular spacing of the signal was interesting.
