12-08-2024 - At 5:00 PM, I heard a few scratchy words on 437.800 MHz, the downlink frequency of the Amateur (ham) Radio FM repeater aboard the International Space Station. It has been quite a while since I've heard a strong signal on the attic discone antenna. Maybe next time.12-08-2024 - I made contact with KC3SJ at Redbird Wildlife Management Area (US-10159) in Kentucky on 20 meters (14 MHz) CW (Morse code) in the Amateur (ham) Radio Parks on the Air® program.
12-08-2024 - I heard a helicopter passing over the north side of town. It was either in or above the cloud layer. It sounded like a military machine. I'm guessing it was in the cloud layer. I had hoped it would break out and land at Sheppard, but it did not. There's nothing like actual instrument time in the logbook!
