10-23-2024 - 5:35 AM - Good Morning! I received word yesterday that my second QRP Labs QCX Mini CW (Morse code) transceiver has shipped. This one is the 40-meter model to go along with the 20-meter model I already have. In other news, former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Fernando Valenzuela has passed away, aged 63. According to a Times Record News story, a 19-year-old man pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault and will serve 8 years in prison. This sentence was part of a plea bargain with other charges dismissed. The man, who graduated high school in 2023, has been accepted at TDCJ Cellblock University. Also, the Wichita County Annex at 600 Scott Avenue has reopened! I'll listen to some Morse code on the 40-meter band, waiting for the 20-meter band to come alive. My Folgers Black Silk coffee is ready.
